Aug 9, 2026LauraDaisy introduced herself to me in 2007. That's the only honest way to say it — I walked into a shelter in Atlanta, and a young boxer, barely a year old and all wiggle, made it clear the decision had already been made. I just had the good sense to agree. I left, twice-changed that day: with a dog, and with a conviction. I'd seen the rows of good animals still waiting, and I knew rescue would be a cause in my life from then on. When Blair came along the next year, he got a package deal — and he fell for us both. Daisy had fifteen years of teaching us what a rescue is worth. Her bubbly, joyful self even ended up on our sparkling wine label, exactly where she belongs. She's the reason all of this exists. Gotcha Day, around here, means the day they get you. — Laura 1 0 Share
Aug 9, 2026BlairIt started with Daisy. She was a rescue herself, and she's the reason Rescue Dog Wines exists — Laura and I looked at her one day and knew that whatever we built next had to give back to dogs like her. So we made wine, and we made a promise: every glass would help another dog find their way home. Daisy left us a couple of years ago. The mission she started didn't go anywhere — these days our house is run by five rescue cats, which we've decided is proof the rescue habit doesn't care what species you promised it to. And somewhere along the way this stopped being an idea and became a family — winemakers, rescue volunteers, fosters, adopters, and a whole lot of people who just believe dinner tastes better with a rescue underfoot. This page is for your stories. The dog who chose you at the shelter. The foster you failed at (welcome to the club). The old girl nobody wanted who turned out to be the best decision you ever made. Half of everything we earn goes back to the rescues doing this work — but honestly, the stories are why we do it. Daisy started ours. We'd love to hear who started yours. Sip. Love. Give. — Blair 1 0 Share
